Senior Associate

Cleopatra is a litigation lawyer with experience acting for individuals and businesses across a broad range of commercial disputes. She holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide and a Master of Laws from Bond University and was admitted to practice in 2020.

Cleopatra commenced her legal career practising in litigation and has acted for clients in matters involving partnership and shareholder disputes, bankruptcy and insolvency proceedings, copyright and defamation claims, and taxation and estate litigation. She has appeared in Queensland Courts including the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court and Federal Court and has also acted in matters in other jurisdictions, including New South Wales and Victoria. Her experience extends to alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and conciliation conferences.

In addition to court-based litigation, Cleopatra has acted for clients in regulatory investigations conducted by bodies such as the Australian Taxation Office and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.

Cleopatra takes a holistic and strategic approach to dispute resolution, with a strong focus on achieving practical and commercial outcomes. She is committed to helping clients resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively, avoiding unnecessary litigation where alternative strategies better serve their commercial objectives.

Alongside her litigation practice, Cleopatra provides general commercial and pre-litigation advice and regularly assists clients with drafting and negotiating transactional documents, including shareholder agreements, partnership agreements, loan agreements and franchising agreements.

Known for her client-focused approach, Cleopatra takes the time to understand each client’s position, assess risks and clearly explain the options available to them. Her clients value her clear communication and practical advice, and feel confident making informed decisions about their matters.

Outside of practice, Cleopatra enjoys spending time on the golf course refining her short game, exploring the Scenic Rim on weekend getaways, and catching up with family and friends.
