Sam studied Law at Bond University where he also achieved specialist certificates in Intellectual Property and Information, Technology and E-Commerce.

As a solicitor, Sam has a commercial and pragmatic approach to transactions and legal advice. For several years Sam has acted for a number of Franchisors, Licensors, Lessors and small to medium businesses. He has vast experience in commercial Intellectual Property matters including turning small to medium businesses into a National and International Franchise Systems. Sam also assists Franchisors with Code compliant operation, recruitment, marketing and dispute resolution. Sam acts in general commercial matters such as the purchase or sale of a Business, Intellectual Property management (including Trade Mark applications, Trade Mark disputes, and Trade Mark surveillance), Intellectual Property Licensing, PPSR matters, drafting commercial Leases, Structuring advice (including preparation or advice on Shareholder Agreements, Share Sale Agreements, Trusts) and preparation of bespoke contracts. 

Sam has a no-nonsense approach to legal advice and in particular handling trademark disputes which has achieved great results for clients. Sam is fast becoming a leading Australian Intellectual Property lawyer with expertise in acting for Clients who own trademarks which are being infringed by businesses including multinationals.
