Peter was admitted as a solicitor in Queensland in 2009, following his move to Australia and has specialised in franchising and intellectual property since that time.
Peter is a member of the Queensland Law Society (QLS) Franchising Committee and is involved in educating QLD Members in relation to franchising as well as liaising with both the State and Federal governments regarding legislation which is directly or indirectly related to franchising.
Originally from the UK, Peter was awarded his law degree in 2005 from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and subsequently worked in-house for Rolls Royce PLC and the Professional Sports Group.
Peter moved to Australia in 2008 and attended Bond University to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Training (PLT). Following admission to the legal profession in 2009, Peter joined IP Partnership (then Ivan Poole Lawyers) and began his specialisation in franchising and intellectual Property.
Peter has developed particular expertise in the protection and leverage of intellectual property internationally having represented clients in Australia and overseas wishing to lodge International Trade Marks and to develop franchise or license systems in different jurisdictions.
Peter is a keen sportsman and previously represented Great Britain as an alpine ski racer on the Skier X World Cup and at the World Winter University Games in 2015. Now that he lives in Queensland's more tropical climate he has applied his competitive instincts to golf.
